The Dukan Diet - "Cruise Phase" week 8

Monday:
98.3kg
Neck hurting.
Decided to go to 95kg.

Tuesday:
97.9kg
Work, preparation for the training in Ireland the next day.
Flying out in the evening with AerLingus and staying in Crowne Plaza Hotel (same as last time).
I had some grilled SeaBass in the restaurant with vegetables, lovely! Id did have one piece of wholegrain bread, as it was so fresh and was looking at me in that special way.
Obviously had it with some butter ;)

Wednesday:
No weight.
Did the training, had some sandwiches due to the fact I was not prepared for it.
Flying home tonight.

Thursday:
97.2kg
I am going to 95kg and not less, as apparently I started to disappear ;)

The Dukan Diet - "Cruise Phase" week 7

Monday:
99.4kg! only 1.4kg to go, or a bit more, as I think I might do with some more of burning now and then concentrate on not gaining it again. Had to do two days of PP + V for the sake of not wasting food.
Injured my neck at the gym, not good.

Tuesday:
100.0kg, this is what happens when you misbehave and eat crisps in the evening with a small beer. No more temptations please. Now, get back to PP and losing that fat!
Neck hurts like hell.

Wednesday:
99.3kg
Visit at the doctors due to immense pain in the neck after Monday gym session.
Turned out to be a "trapped/clipped nerve". Diclofenac subscribed, over 80 tablets, gosh!

Thursday:
99.8kg
Staying at home, can not move, can not sit.

Friday:
98.9kg
Stayed at home again and worked from my bed.
Pain does not go away.

Saturday:
98.3kg
Quiet day, still hurting.

Sunday:
Did not weigh myself.
Happy BBQ with Ania's friends from work, all day long.

The Dukan Diet - "Cruise Phase" the weekend (39, 40, 41)

Friday
100,3kg, extremely hot outside.
I sent my old TV to my sister.

Saturday
100,2kg, hot again, went to kayak a little bit
for the second time since my first kayak action in years.
It was really good.
Now off to BBQ at my friend's new house.

Sunday
99.6kg!
Nice day outside, going to watch F1 British (Home) GP
and then World Cup Final in the evening.
Let's pray for good TV reception.

1st July 2010 (Thursday), second day of Henley Royal Regatta.
Morning weight is 101.5kg
Only 3.5kg to go, before Consolidation Phase!
I must admit I am quite happy with current weight, but my goal was 98kg, so be it!

Protein only today, so nothing really exciting.

Played some tennis in the evening with strained ankle, but supported with heavy duty stuff.
How nice it was to play.

Rather boring day, nothing exciting happened.
Oh, I got a Costco membership, went there with my boss in Porsche Cayenne.
Never knew those American malls are so different :)

Now, let's get back on track.
I had plans of going for a swim, but twisted my ankle in the company's car park!
So frustrating!
Anyway, it is not that bad, I can still walk, let's hope that I will be able to play some tennis on Wednesday.

The Dukan Diet - "Cruise Phase" day 27 (PP + V)

Sunday, and another glorious day.
Although I am not going outside as am a little bit burnt from yesterday.
Will have to drive around with no sun glasses to get rid of white marks now ;)

Weight? 105kg (shocking!), I must have eaten tons of meat on that BBQ last night, and we came back very late, I mean early in the morning ;)

Bit of barbecuing today with some veggies and hopefully tomorrow we'll be back on track.

The Dukan Diet - "Cruise Phase" day 26 (PP)

Saturday, and what a day, really nice and sunny.
Weight 102,4kg!
Today we are going to go for Dragon boat Racing.
It is very, and I mean very nice outside, so sun burns are more than expected.
Obviously we are doing it for fun only and for charity, so no competitiveness involved (yeah right, as if I did not know myself).
I raced three times, and was extremely exhausted, possibly pulled few muscles, including left shoulder and right chest muscle. Not good, but this is how we roll!

Weighing after the event in the evening (loads of food taken), 103,1kg.

Now, off to BBQ and friend's birthday, I can see the weight tomorrow morning :|

The Dukan Diet - "Cruise Phase" day 21 (PP + V)

103,3kg, so not that bad for a Monday morning.
Have nothing prepared to eat today, will starve a little bit until I go to get some food.
World Cup on TV, and starving, as can't go to the shop yet :)

Had a little swim in the afternoon and the sauna.
Did not have many vegetables, just some asparagus in the evening and (wait for it) sausages!
Yes, sausages, but roasted venison sausages, so hope they are OK as I have some left for tomorrow.

Sunday morning (103,3kg), a very nice day outside.
We got two tickets to Legoland Windsor (courtesy of Liz T.).
Legoland visit was very enjoyable, loads of walking and activities to do, definitely requires a two day visit, not one.

I have no idea what happened, but I think I have been eating too much.
I noticed that I am not as strict on myself as I was in the attack phase.
This morning weight was 105,2kg.
I hope I'll drop it today on the PP day.

No idea what to think about it, but I will carry on, few more, only few more.

Saturday morning, another progress, and huge this time.
Weight went down to 104,8kg!
had some eggs and lean turkey breast.
Went shopping, nearly starved there ;)
Came back home and cooked venison steak for the first time, gosh that was good.
I am hoping to keep the progress now and continue onto the Consolidation Phase asap!

The Dukan Diet - "Cruise Phase" day 11 (PP + V)

Friday, the morning after.
Today is the day when I am on Pure Protein and Vegetables.
Also, it is the day when I Give Blood.
Will have you updated on how I feel after that, never had problems with giving blood,
on the other hand never was on a diet.
Weight 105,7kg in the morning, whoop whoop!

Gave blood, felt OK, a little bit more tired than usual. Was very sleepy in the evening, but this is normal when giving blood.
I can say with all my faith that giving blood is safe on high protein diet.

The Dukan Diet - "Cruise Phase" day 10 (PP)

Hi, I do not know what to think about it anymore, I weigh 106,2kg in the morning after a day on PP + V. I eat a lot of Tesco grilled chicken strips that are flavoured, and I think I should not eat as much as they are not plain.
I better get used to slow weight loss now and do not give up.

Big problem, a wedding party tonight to which all of us at work have been invited.
How to behave normally and not get drunk and eat rubbish food?

I had literally two small bears, some diet Coke and water.
Luckily, there was soem cured beef so I indulged in that.
I must admit I never felt so weird and tempted, yet I resisted!
Foie gras pate, all sorts of cheeses and meats, little tiny pizzas etc.
I was very strong.

Evening weight was 106,7kg, so not too disappointing.

The Dukan Diet - "Cruise Phase" day 9 (PP + V)

Hi,

Morning was pretty good at 106,2kg.
It does not matter that I crave for carbs and normal food, but today's lunch is very promising and indeed tasty, those meatballs (half extra lean beef and half minced turkey).
Sauce made out of tinned chopped tomatoes boiled in vegetable stock with tomato purée and some chestnut mushrooms, yummy!

I feel a little bit tired and depressed and easily annoyed, could it be the drawback of the diet?

Evening weight 107,5kg, isn't it frustrating?

Woke up (just) and did not want to get up.
Weight was not too bad at 106,7kg, but its been a long time since any proper progress.
Today I do not feel full of beans any more I crave some carbs, had to rescue myself with a can of Pepsi Diet, I even started to like it, what is wrong with me!?

Cooked lovely meatballs in tomato sauce for tomorrow, can't wait!

Woke, did whatever needs doing in the morning and weighed myself.
106,5kg, slight progress, so the sausages did not make much damage, so I hope!

Days are getting by, food is becoming boring due to lack of time to prepare anything exciting.
Makes me feel a little bit depressed, but not in a way I would not cope...

Morning weight 106,9kg again!
Went to try kayaking after 12 years of absence.
Biggest challenge is to fit into a kayak, we'll see!

I did it! I fit into one, even in the fastest type Nelo Scorpion, I think they were trying to make me swim rather than kayak, but I prevailed!

BBQ again this afternoon and tonight.

Friday morning, weekend coming yuppie!
Morning weight 106,9kg, so it is not that bad altogether, I guess.
I need to get used to the fact that losing weight is not about losing it quickly with excitement.
I promise, I will get there.
Protein only today!

After work the weight was the same, due to not eating much, just two packets of flavoured flame grilled chicken.

Evening, we prepared barbecue with loads of steak and meat. After loads of food, weight was 108,2kg in the evening. Oh well!

The Dukan Diet - "Cruise Phase" day 3 (PP + V)

Hi, Veggies today!
107,3kg in the morning, not too shabby, but I have not lost weight since my last day of attack phase, is this normal? Apparently, when you do 1/1 sessions in cruise phase it can take off rather slowly compared to the more hardcore 5/5, but eventually 1/1 gets there and has the same results as 5/5/ with far less frustration and boredom.

Day has gone past, had grilled asparagus (on a frying pan) with lime, salt and pepper marinated fillet steak, lovely!

Evening weight 107,8kg.

Hi all,

I must admit I panicked a little bit yesterday as my weight jumped to 108,7kg in the evening after having vegetables. I believe this problem was due to not drinking enough water during the day and having problems with the toilet stuff, which is totally new thing for me (never had problems, in fact it was the other way round in the past).
Anyway, decided to increase the intake of water by far and see what happens.
Luckily, my weight this morning was not that bad altogether as it was 107,5kg, so only 300g increase compared to the morning before.

Evening weight: 108,3kg, not great.

The Dukan Diet - "Cruise Phase" day 1 (PP + V)

Tuesday:

Hi all,

Woke up in the morning, not feeling hungry at all.
Weighed myself at 107,2kg, so not bad. Today is my first day of "Cruise Phase" so first day of being allowed vegetables. I will do my "cruising" in 1/1 ratio, so one day protein + vegetables and then one day of protein only. It will be much easier and steadier for me I think.
Had some grilled aubergine medallions dipped in egg, and did not really love it.
Looking forward to lunch, as we cooked a kind of ratatouille with aubergines, courgettes, tomatoes and onion. Will keep you posted.

All day on meat and ratatouille. Feels weird, still have problems with the toi toi stuff to be honest and feel very bloated after the vegetables. The weight went up a lot during the day, I hope it is just my body trying to get as much as possible from the veg and does not release it at all.
I will see what will be my weight in the morning, will it be up, stay the same, or down?

The Dukan Diet - "Attack Phase" day 7

Got up, had breakfast, some scrambled eggs with prawns again, yuck, remind me why am I doing it again? We shot off to head towards our house on the motorway, had some Pepsi Diet and just arrived at home.
Weight: 107,8kg, not bad, was worried that I might actually have wasted all that effort with wine and "tasters".

Anyway, "Attack Phase" was tough, but not as tough as one would imagine.
It is the last day of attack phase, tomorrow we start "cruising".

The Dukan Diet - "Attack Phase" day 6

Sunday morning: 107,9kg
Going to see my friends in Essex, will be tempted a lot to have amazing food and alcohol.
Will let you know what happened on my arrival.
Fingers crossed for my will power.

As I thought, loads of temptations as David (my friend) is an amazing chef and I happen to looove food. Anyway, had to go to a pub for lunch, so I insisted on Nando's, at least they do only chicken.
I had two quarters of chicken, trying to resist the temptaition of eating the skin, my God that was hard, and some apparently plain chicken livers which were very salty, so God knows what they put in the marinade.
In the evening there was this amazing dinner cooked by the aforementioned David. He prepared a marinated, for two days, lamb with panfried raw chorizo couscous and freshly made salad. guess what I had two sirloin steaks, and proud! I must admit I had to have a flavour of his cooking so only tried a little bit, and I mean a tiny little bit, of everything. Not proud of having tiny bit of wine with dinner, but really could not resist and one G&T (slimline).

No weighing this time.

The Dukan Diet - "Attack Phase" day 5

Saturday (weekend, hardest time with no alcohol etc.)

Morning weight: 108,3kg, slight progress, no need to worry about one day stagnation.

Afternoon weight: 108,8kg so not that bad at all, although when we were shopping I was really hungry and had to fight the cravings when walking past KFC and a hot dog place.
I think I should be proud of myself. Bought whole grilled Piri Piri chicken and ate half of it without skin, success!

The Dukan Diet - "Attack Phase" day 4

Friday.
Woke up in the morning, weight 108,8kg. What is wrong, stagnation?
Anyway, have got to keep on going, no one said it will be instant and easy, did they?

Breakfast:
Dukan pancake, two fried eggs, fromage frais and smoked salmon, story of my life hey! :)


Elevenses:
Oven baked chicken breast x3 with amazingly delicious garlic sauce (courtesy of Ania W.).
Garlic sauce can be added to anything and everything so if you are fan of garlic and do not mind smelling a bit, then here is how to make it.
PS. I would not recommend using garlic for too long in a row, as your skin will start smelling of garlic too, so tae breaks.

Ingredients:
* 500g natural fat free yoghurt
* 2 cloves of garlic
* herbs and spices

Preparation:
Crush the garlic into the yoghurt (all of it), add some spices (black pepper, tiny bit of salt) to your liking and put it in the fridge for an hour.

Such sauce can stay for a few days in the fridge and takes the "all meat" experience to another level of satisfaction.

Evening weighing: 109,1kg

The Dukan Diet - "Attack Phase" day 3

Day 3 (Thursday):

New day, new challenges.
Morning weighing 108,8kg (result!)
Still ten to the goal, easy! (or is it?).

Nice breakfast, finally managed to make something that is both healthy and tasty.
Fried eggs, smoked salmon on a bed of The Dukan Pancake (oatbran pancake) with a little bit of fromage frais. Do you like it, looks good ha?



Elevenses and lunch, over half a kilo of flame grilled chicken breast from a known supermarket. Nice and moist, tastes great and I feel good.

Had a long walk in the town and down the river as recommended, Feel very well, although my trousers begun to fall off my bum.
Looking forward to the weekend.

The Dukan Diet ("Attack Phase" day 1 and 2)

Hi,

So I decided to try the diet and loose all those unnecessary kilograms that are covering the muscles (so hope).
I hear about Dukan Diet and my fiancée said her boss has tried and could not believe the results. Being a natural hunter and a carnivorous animal that diet sounded like a treat, not diet!

Monday, evening before the "Attack Phase" of the Dukan Diet I weighed myself, after last fatty, extremely unhealthy supper (photo attached), the weight was 111,4kg. I won't attach a photo of my in that state, maybe at the end of programme, just to have a laugh and compare.

Day 1 (Tuesday):
Morning weighing proved that I lost 0,9kg overnight with the result of 110,5kg and that is my starting weight from which I will count down the "losses".
All day nothing but pure protein (chicken, chicken and chicken), loads of water, oat bran pancake in the evening (slightly too much oat bran according to doctor's hints, but we'll see.
Evening weight 110,9kg due to "force feeding", not great, but I presume evening weight will always be bigger.

Day 2 ( Wednesday):
Morning weighing and a little shock 109,4kg! That is a loss of 1,5kg overnight, but only 1kg when compared to the morning weight the previous day. Today prepared loads of fish, salmon baked last night. Not looking forward to eating loads of it, but I will prevail!

Breakfast:
Scrambled eggs with two egg yolks and prawns.

Lunch:
Baked Salmon, loads of it, a little bit too much, felt sick.

Dinner:
Baked leftovers of the Salmon, not great :), a little bit of prawn cocktail with fromage frais based "Mary Rose sauce".

Slightly struggling, feeling not hungry, but not fulfilled either. It is a weird feeling, but let's not panic, tomorrow will be better. Now, off to munch on some crab sticks.
